Inspired by the work of photographers such as Toshio Shiabata, Outsiders uses commonplace items in the man-altered landscape as metaphors for environmental change.

Through a series of simple almost abstract images of the local landscape, where the ambiguity of scale and content invites the viewer to engage more deeply, Outsiders seeks to put into question our personal relationship with the ecosystem in which we live and asks if we are naturally two opposing forces.
